Many students are dissatisfied with the available desk space in lecture halls. Ample desk space is incredibly important for students in lectures because it allows students to comfortably be able to write notes. Our product, Extenable is a device that expands the available workspace of lecture hall desks quickly and easily and at an affordable price for a college student. Extentable has two boards that are connected by a T-joint and can be mounted onto a table using a C-clamp. This innovation gives users a larger desk space in a lecture room, which will increase the comfort and efficiency of the user.

Our design involves three major components: two boards and a C-clamp. The two boards are the table. When carrying they can be easily fit into a backpack and when deployed they can be quickly and easily connected by a T-joint and turn into a bigger board. The boards are made of polyethylene, and the T-joint section is made of aluminum to ensure smooth sliding motion. The C-clamp is attached to the bottom end of the board and can be clamped to an existing table in a lecture hall.

To test the Extentable, our team carried the table in a backpack and used it in various lecture halls. The Extenable was easy to carry and could fit on a variety of lecture tables. 

In conclusion, Extentable can effectively increase the table area for the user and can be easily carried, thus increasing the comfort and efficiency of the user.
